A unique SURGE -project exhibition was recently opened at the Surf-Center in Peniche, Portugal. The opening coincided with the second last round of the ASP World Championship Tour which brought the worlds best surfers to Peniche.

Present at the opening were some great names like Tiago Pires (to the right in the picture) and 11 World Cup holder, Kelly Stater, and Mike Fanning who currently leads the Cup.

The project was represented by the Mayor of Peniche, Mr. António Correia Santos (in center) and by Mr. John Liljelund, CEO of AW-Energy (to the right in the picture).
-” We are very pleased with the outstanding efforts of the City of Peniche in the SURGE -project. With this exhibition everyone can take part of this exciting project,” Mr. Liljelund later stated.

The The Rip Curl Pro Portugal venue continues in Peniche, the European Surf Capital until the 20th of October. The exhibition at the Surf Center is opened for the public daily.
