On his way back to Brussels from the European Maritime Days in Turku yesterday, the EU-Commissioner for maritime affairs, Mr Karmenu Vella made a visit to WaveRoller Test Centre in Järvenpää. The Commissioner and some representatives for the top-level of Finnish industry, followed a real-life demonstration of the wave machine and a presentation of the WaveRoller technology.
Commissioner Vella was impressed by the technology readiness of the WaveRoller and said that ocean energy should play a big role in the European Blue Growth.
