SITE STUDIES
A complete package of advisory services are available to identify and assess sites for installing WaveRoller wave energy devices
APPROACH
Shoreline assessments are provided that present a total view on the possibilities of energy production and how wave energy could contribute to the local or national energy mix. Site studies are used to identify the most suitable locations for WaveRoller wave energy units. This includes an assessment on how much electricity a WaveRoller unit, or a scaling up to a WaveFarm, could generate to a specific area, or as part of a wider energy mix provision for wider coastal energy needs.
ADVANTAGES
- Provides important decision-making material in a short period of time, enabling the project to advance in steps with no heavy up-front investment.
- Identifies possible risks and obstacles already at the start.
- The final report serves later funding purposes and brings credibility to the project.
- The country’s whole wave energy potential can be confirmed relative to the energy need.
