The exciting climax of our WaveRoller wave energy project – August 2021

After 2 years in the energetic Atlantic ocean it’s time to complete the final phase of sea trials – the recovery of the WaveRoller from the seabed and tow it to Peniche port for inspection.

This is the exciting climax of the project. The first job is to test the recovery process that mainly uses compressed air. Then we get our first good view of the equipment. This is a huge moment for our team after years of hard work.

Welcome for a tour of the WaveRoller test facility – June 2021

Welcome for a tour around our new and upgraded WaveRoller® test facility. This is where we bring megawatts of wave power inside based on real conditions around the world. With this we can test the performance and reliability of our new MegaRoller (www.megaroller.eu) power take off and carryout accelerated lifecycle testing.

This was made possible thanks to funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 763959 and our project partners (www.sintef.no/projectweb/megaroller/partners/)
