Proto 2007
The 2007 PROTO project, contained the first prototype of the hydraulic-electric power take off. Manufactured and deployed near Peniche, Portugal, this device also included the first WaveRoller onboard control system. Thus electricity was generated directly onboard the device and the counterforce control to optimise the yield. The position, pressure, flow and electrical measurements were sent ashore through the subsea cable for further analysis and input data for our following projects.
